Being a people person is essential for any customer service role and one of our very own, Nancy Shirk is perfect at it. That’s why we’re featuring her as this month’s Company Spotlight.
How long have you been at DiRAD?
I have been working for DiRAD for 4 1/2 years.
What is your favorite thing about technology?
I don’t like to go shopping in stores so I find whatever I need online.
What inspired you to get into your field?
Working in the call center is a relaxing job for someone that likes to talk with people and likes to solve problems.
Apart from your phone, what is your favorite piece of technology?
My iPad, I can do almost anything with my iPad, read the news, play games, buy things, do banking, the list never ends.
What are some of your favorite hobbies?
I like to read, play the piano and sew.
What word would you use to describe the company culture at DiRAD?
Everyone at DiRAD treats others with respect and appreciation. Each person is treated as a valuable part of the team.
Tell us a little about your life outside of work.
I am married and we have three children and six grandchildren. However, none of them live nearby so we need to travel to see them. Since it is just the two of us most of the time, we go out to dinner with friends. We are also involved in church activities and volunteer whenever needed.
