As an employer, we here at DiRAD think it’s important to acknowledge that at some point people need to disconnect! We always preach work/life balance, because our amazing employees give us 100% when they’re connected and they deserve to give 100% when they disconnect, as well. One person on our team in particular knows the value in this. She’s amazing to work with and we’ve decided to feature her this month in our July Company Spotlight. Today we’re highlighting the talented Cheryl!
How long have you been at DiRAD?
What is your favorite thing about technology?
That you can “disconnect” or flip a switch and it’s off when you want it to be.
What inspired you to get into your field?
I was interested because it was a Technology Company, involving a Customer Service “Call Center”. I’ve had 33 years of experience in the Customer Service Airline Industry and feel very confident working with the public. It was a bonus to learn the technology aspect as well.
Apart from your phone, what is your favorite piece of technology?
My Fitbit. It helps me to be more conscientious about my overall health and wellbeing.
What are some of your favorite hobbies?
I love hiking, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, bird watching etc. Most outdoor activities.
What word would you use to describe the company culture at DiRAD?
Tell us a little about your life outside of work.
I am a mother to two children and a stepmother to two. My husband and I have 6 grandchildren. We spend most of our current weekends at our camp up north, enjoying our little sanctuary.
What’s your favorite quote?
“Happiness is not something readymade, it comes from your own actions”. (Dalai Lama)
