We love the tech we create, just as much as the people who create it! In a never ending effort to make this a great place to work, we check in with our team and see what their passions are.
We do this by highlighting the incredibly talented individuals who make our company special with a Company Spotlight. This month’s Company Spotlight is focused on Dawn Wesoloski – a key member of DiRAD‘s accounting team!
How long have you been at DiRAD?
Since May 2021
What is your favorite thing about technology?
Makes life easier. I enjoy the convenience of paying my bills online, being able to deposit money by phone and communicating via so many different platforms. I am part of that generation that lived without the convenience of internet and have lived with it. I will say technology has made my hectic life easier, but I miss the time when we weren’t looking at our phones all the time. 😊
What inspired you to get into your field?
My first “real” job was at a TV station in the business office doing billing, an entry level position. I had never done accounting before, but realized fairly quickly I enjoyed it and wanted to learn all I could to advance in that field. In 3 years, I had advanced into the Assistant Business Manager position!
What is your favorite piece of technology?
Probably my cell phone, I would be lost without it. Especially GPS!
What are some of your favorite hobbies?
Cooking has always been my way of bringing my family together, so I do it often. Everyone always comes with containers to take leftovers home because I always make more than I need, it’s the Italian way! I also enjoy traveling and my favorite place I have been is Italy.
What word would you use to describe the company culture at DiRAD?
One word is hard, so I will give you a few – Innovated, Flexible, Connected and Progressive.
Tell us about your home/family life.
I live with my husband of 34 years, I have 2 children and 2 grandchildren. My kids visit weekly which I love and I enjoy watching my grandchildren grow up. My husband and I both enjoy seeing new places and trying new restaurants and will drive on the weekends hours to try something new.
What’s your favorite quote?
Life is short, buy the shoes!
