Whether it’s a specific person or a group of people that all share something in common, we like to shine a light on what makes our people so special. This month, we’re talking to Max B.! Max is our resident tech detective, not just fixing problems, but solving mysteries. His tools are lines of code, network logs, and an unshakeable resolve to protect our digital world. Let’s learn a little bit more about the man who keeps our inboxes safe:
How long have you been at DiRAD?
I have been working at DiRAD for a little over a year now.
What are your favorite aspects of your job?
My favorite aspect of my job are searching up security patches, backtracking phishing emails to see if they are real or not and keeping all servers in compliance with security standards.
What inspired you to get into your field?
What inspired me to get into my field was crime shows where people can pull up any data they need through security cameras or through breaking into company systems.
What is your favorite thing about technology?
My favorite thing about technology is how it continues to evolve year after year. Most recently, breakthroughs in quantum computing have opened the door to solving increasingly complex problems, which will drive even greater advancements in the field.
Apart from your phone, what is your favorite piece of technology?
My favorite piece of technology apart from my phone has to be either my custom PC or a SuperMicro Server.
What are some of your favorite hobbies?
Some of my hobbies that I enjoy to do are to go hiking on long trails through the mountains, play video games and working out at the gym.
What word would you use to describe the company culture at DiRAD?
The company culture at DiRAD is fantastic. It’s a supportive and collaborative environment where everyone is eager to help, making it a genuinely enjoyable place to work.
Tell us a little about your life outside of work.
Outside of work, I enjoy going dancing with my partner, playing competitive video games like the new MOBA Deadlock, and spending time outdoors in nature. I also have a cat named Sedona—she can be a bit of a handful at times, but she’s the sweetest little cat and absolutely loves belly rubs.
