DiRAD strives to be a more progressive workplace. We love finding new ways to improve our offerings and make this a great place to work by checking in with our team and seeing what their passions are.

We do this by highlighting the incredibly talented individuals who make our company special with a Company Spotlight.

This month’s Company Spotlight is focused on Brandon Harrison – the newest member of DiRAD‘s engineering team!

How long have you been at DiRAD?

I’m in my fourth week right now. I started on November 15th

What is your favorite thing about technology?

It’s basically magic. Technology is so complex, and it amazes me what people have been able to do with it. It is constantly changing the way we live and technology itself seems to change every single day. There have been so many great advances and as long as people continue to be creative, it will never stop.

What inspired you to get into your field?

My love for technology as well as my love for helping people. I get to help others use their technology or use technology to help them.

What is your favorite piece of technology?

My custom PC. It lets me do anything from gaming, to streaming, to music production.

What are some of your favorite hobbies?

My 2 favorite things are video games and music. I play tons of video games and I am also a musician. I’ve been writing music since 2006. I’ve been releasing music since 2012, but I don’t intend to get famous or anything. It’s just nice to be able to put my songs out into the world and have people stumble upon it almost entirely by chance.

What word would you use to describe the company culture at DiRAD?

Transparent. I feel like people are being honest and genuine with me here. It’s rare that a job sees you as a person rather than just some little worker bee. It’s understood here that work needs to get done, but it’s also understood that having fun is okay too.

Tell us about your home/family life.

I’m a dad. I have a 5-year-old daughter. She’s as adorable as she is crazy. Children are life changing in so many ways and in my case, it was a change for the better. Love her to death.

What’s your favorite quote?

I don’t have a favorite quote; however, some quotes get stuck in my head from time to time. For example:

“Get up on the Hydra’s back” – Kingdom Hearts 2

And

“Day Bow Bow” – It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia
