The WAVE is a wireless, instant notification system. DiRAD is an exclusive dealer of SecureTech Wave systems to New York State and municipal agencies. The WAVE is a wireless instant notification system. It is the fastest and most effective way to communicate an alarm to first responders. An audible alarm message over a two-way radio or push-to-talk phone is the most urgent type of message; it demands attention. Combined with the DiRAD Outbound Notification System, the WAVE can also send mass alerts via email, SMS text messaging, phone calls, and public address systems.

The SecureTech WAVE system is used in the following scenarios:

  • Panic/Duress Alarm: Whether you are in a courthouse, schoolhouse, college campus or hospital clinic, it is critical to get your first responders on the scene as soon as an incident occurs. The WAVE automates dispatch and improves response times dramatically. As soon as a panic / duress button is pressed, all first responders are automatically notified of the location of the incident. They can get moving towards this location immediately.

  • Courthouse Security: Keeping judges, attorneys and other courthouse personnel safe presents many challenges. The WAVE helps with courthouse security by providing instant notification of any emergency situation to all radios tuned to the courthouse security frequency. Officers can respond immediately without any dispatch delay. Wireless panic buttons are easy to install in any courthouse, even in historic buildings. Weather-resistant panic buttons can also be deployed in parking lots and similar locations.

  • Senior/Assisted Living Facilities: The WAVE Locator uses intelligent buttons and repeater/locators to provide the safest environment for your facility. Because seconds count, now you can have the peace of mind of knowing instantly when your residents need help and where they are. The WAVE Locator system can locate mobile pendants within a facility (indoors or outdoors) with room-level accuracy.

  • Hospital/Clinic Security: Hospital and clinic personnel need to feel secure in order to function in what can be a very stressful environment. The WAVE provides personnel with a way to call for assistance whenever they feel vulnerable, whether they are in the psychiatric ward or the emergency room. Both fixed-position panic buttons as well as mobile buttons with locators are a real asset in this environment.

  • School/College/Campus Security: The WAVE provides a way for faculty to instantly call for help when there is an emergency. Fixed position or mobile panic buttons can be provided in classrooms, playgrounds, laboratories, libraries, cafeterias, health services, bursars' offices or anywhere else on a campus. Security personnel are automatically notified of the location of the emergency over the two-way radios that they already carry.
This can improve response times dramatically at a time when seconds count.

  • Lone Worker/Man Down: Emergencies can happen when workers are alone. If a worker is incapacitated, there is no way for them to use a telephone to call for help. The WAVE Locator can protect lone workers by automatically calling for help when there is an accident.

  • Parking Lot Security: Providing security in parking lots is important, but call-boxes can be expensive to install. They also require someone to be available at a dispatch center to respond to them 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The WAVE is a wireless solution that can improve parking lot security dramatically.

  • Building Automation/Maintenance Alarms: Building automation systems are a vital part of a modern facility. When HVAC or other systems are not functioning properly, it is vital that the facilities department is notified of the problem immediately. These systems are vital to reduce the risk of damage to high-tech equipment and loss of data. The WAVE can help to ensure that your facilities department is aware of the status of critical systems at all times. When a sensor is triggered, the WAVE will transmit an alarm message over the radios carried by maintenance personnel specifying the nature of the problem. For example, an alarm could be activated when temperatures are outside of a specified range or when back-up generators switch on.
